It is dubbed 'the gun you wear' and designed to look like a smartphone when in your pocket.

Miami gun firm Taurus says its new $400 curved design makes it possible to wear the gun - which is even fitted with a laser targeting system - without a holster, and without it being spotted.

With a .380 barrel, the firm boasts the gun can be carried at all times.

The curved gun is designed to fit into a pocket and be carried all today, resembling a smartphone.

The gun has a unique curved design so it can 'hug' the body, and be worn all day without alerting people to the fact owners are carrying a gun. 

The handgun does not feature traditional sights to keep the concealed carry design smooth and snag-free, but instead has a laser and LED light system to allow owners to hit the right target. 

'Wearing the curve everyday provides the peace of mind needed for protecting yourself and your family in these uncertain times,' the firm boasts.

The firm says that the gun was designed to be the same size an an iPhone.  

'About the size of today's smart phones, this little USA manufactured double-action only, semi-auto pistol packs 6+1 rounds in a highly concealable 5.18-inch package,' it says.

'Weighing in at 10.2 ounces, the Curve combines innovation with functionality for close-quarter, personal security confidence when wearing this pistol.'

'We challenged our engineers to develop a handgun that was comfortable to wear,' said Sarah Perry, Director of Marketing for Taurus.

'We wanted it to be as comfortable as wearing a watch every day,'

'We wanted a concealed carry firearm that was designed for wearing against the contours of your body. 

'The engineers eagerly accepted the challenge and three years later and after much testing, we are beginning production of the Curve,' continued Perry.

The curved polymer pistol has a carbon steel slide and a stainless steel barrel for increased reliability.
