Spring app instantly makes you appear taller - and thinner - in photos

Everyone is guilty of a bit of filter-action to make their photos look better.

But while Hudson and Lo-Fi can get rid of those wrinkles, they can't do much about height.

Now a new app promises to change that by giving anyone supermodel legs with a simple touch of a button.

The Spring app says its goal is to ¿help you adjust your body proportions,¿ by overlaying lines onto the hips, shoulders and ankles to a more ¿appealing¿ size

Dubbed Spring, the app for Android and iOS lengthens the image to make everyone in the frame look taller.

The app says its goal is to 'help you adjust your body proportions,' by overlaying lines onto the hips, shoulders and ankles to a more 'appealing' size.

Spring works by asking the user to mark either two or three points on your body, in-between which they want the stretching to take place.

As well as lengthening your body, the app also lengthens everything else in the photo, leading to some strange results.

Despite this, it seems to be receiving positive reviews on both iTunes and Play Stores.

'Just so easy to make you looks much taller and thinner! Well I love it so much,' wrote on user.

A basic version of Spring is available for iOS devices on iTunes and for Android devices on Google Play Store.

It's been created by Kim Taewan of Sunday Bugs in Japan.

If you want a high-resolution version of taller, leaner image, then a Pro version of the Android is available for £1.16 ($1.95).

SKINNEEPIX APP SHAVES 15LB OFF PHOTOS WITH THE TAP OF A FINGER

A couple from Phoenix have created SkinneePix, an iPhone app that allows users to 'lose' up to 15lbs (6.8kg), instantly.

Created by Susan Green and Robin J. Phillips, app is for those who more often than not don't like the way they look in pictures - whether it's a bad angle, or that first bikini picture of the season.

Miss Green and Miss Phillips got the idea for the app after going on vacation with friends last summer.

Everyone was taking selfies, but no one liked how they looked. So when they returned, the couple decided to make an app that would put selfies through a 'skinny filter'.

Miss Green explained that she uses her instantly slimmed-down photos to motivate herself to lose weight in real life, by showing her what she could look like with a little bit more exercise or healthy eating.

'It's not that I don't like how I look, I just need to be healthy,' she said. 'And this is how I want to try to do it.
