Grand Theft Auto modifications lets players 'rape' each other
comments
Fans are modifying Grand Theft Auto to allow players to control, blow up, and in some case virtually 'rape' other users.
One particular modification, or 'mod', features menus for 'Naughty Stuff' and 'Very Naughty Stuff'.
Reaction to the feature has been mixed - with some users expressing outrage and others claiming that is merely a bit of fun.
Mods such as these give the players control of other users around them, when playing the game online. This particular mod includes Naughty Stuff and Very Naughty Stuff menus (pictured), and players can change their character to a naked man or woman
Within the mod menus created, options include kidnapping, prostitution and making players attach to others and 'f*** the air'.
Videos of these so-called 'trolls' performing these acts have appeared online, and they reveal how the mods let players select naked men and women as characters.
Mods such as these then give the players control of other users around them, when playing the game online.
For example, the player can simulate thrusting into another player, and if certain invincibility controls are enabled, the other player can't move away.
Other options range from blowing the other players up, making them pole dance, and electrocuting them.
Reports of the 'rapes' have also appeared in forum posts and websites.
Commenting on one of the videos, a YouTube user wrote: 'People like you are the reason why everyone has a problem with GTA.
'If you think this is funny it's not, all you are doing is ruining the experience for everyone else.
'Why don't you just put the controller down and do something productive with your life?'
But another user responded: 'This is funny.
Modifications are alterations created by fans. A still from Grand Theft Auto V is pictured. New York-based developers Rockstar Games claim to have no affiliation with these mods
'It's sad, unfortunately, how some people are complaining about 'rape' as if humping in this virtual world is somehow worse than murder. '
MailOnline has contacted Rockstar Games for a comment on the modifications.
Last September, Kyle Prahl at PSU claimed to have discovered a rape scene within Grand Theft Auto V itself, and not in a fan modification.
He said he rescued a woman from being 'violated' while on a mission, playing as character Franklin.
At the time Rockstar Games said the scene was 'meant to depict and imply cannablism, not rape', and apologised for the error.
